Vengeance LPX: keep the DDR4 upgrade compact and simple
Vengeance LPX focuses on a compact heat-spreader design and a simple black finish. It suits a DDR4 system where RAM should fit into the hardware layout without becoming another lighting feature. This kit contains two 8GB modules for a total capacity of 16GB.

A restrained fit around the CPU cooler
The LPX aluminium heat spreader has no RGB light bar. That keeps the appearance consistent in a dark PC and avoids a separate lighting setup.
Its compact design is useful when planning around a large CPU cooler, but still compare the actual RAM clearance specified for your cooler. Fan position and motherboard layout affect the final fit.
Enable the intended 3600 profile
CORSAIR rates CMK16GX4M2D3600C18 at DDR4-3600 CL18 and 1.35V, with Intel XMP 2.0 support. The default SPD rate is 2133 at 1.2V, so the first boot may show a lower figure until a supported profile is selected.
Check motherboard and CPU compatibility before choosing the performance setting. An XMP profile is a set of operating parameters, not a guarantee that every platform can sustain that speed.

Use the pair as the basis of the configuration
The kit’s two equal-capacity modules are intended for a paired installation. Follow the motherboard manual to place them in the recommended slots for a two-module setup.
If 16GB will not cover the applications you keep open together, consider the final capacity before filling slots. Combining separate kits later can require additional testing or lower settings, even when their labels look similar.
Before installation
- Confirm desktop DDR4 support, rather than DDR5 or SO-DIMM.
- Check the exact part number, recommended slots and cooler clearance.
- After installation, verify capacity, active speed and system stability.
