iiyama G2470HS: Fast IPS gaming without a large footprint

The iiyama G-Master G2470HS-B1 puts a 180 Hz Fast IPS panel in a compact 23.8-inch screen. It suits a desktop where fast games share space with browsing, study or everyday work. This is the 180 Hz G2470HS model, with a simple tilt stand and built-in speakers for basic audio.

A manageable resolution for high frame rates

The native 1920 × 1080 resolution keeps the graphics workload more modest than QHD or 4K. Both HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 support Full HD at up to 180 Hz on this monitor. Your PC still needs to render the game quickly enough to benefit from the available refresh rate.

Understand the two motion tools

Adaptive Sync operates over a specified 48–180 Hz range on both video inputs, helping the display follow a compatible graphics card's output. The advertised 0.2 ms is MPRT under the relevant motion-blur-reduction conditions; it is not end-to-end input latency.

iiyama notes that MBR cannot be enabled together with Adaptive Sync. For variable frame rates, start with Adaptive Sync; try blur reduction separately when your system maintains a steady, high frame rate.

Arrange the screen at a comfortable height

The stand tilts from 3.5 degrees down to 21.5 degrees up. It does not have height adjustment, so consider desk height before buying. A suitable 100 × 100 mm VESA arm offers another mounting option. The matte Fast IPS screen has a specified 300 cd/m² brightness.

Useful connections beyond the picture

Two 2 W speakers handle basic desktop sound, and a headphone connector provides an alternative. HDMI, DisplayPort and power cables are listed in the manufacturer's package contents.
