Peerless Assassin 120 Digital White: a broad status display above two towers

Peerless Assassin 120 Digital White places a broad display across the top of its twin-tower assembly. It is a substantial visual feature inside a windowed case, while the plain fans keep the rest of the cooler’s appearance restrained.

Plan for the display connection

The screen uses a motherboard USB 2.0 header and Thermalright’s software. Reserve that connection before filling the case with other USB-controlled accessories, and route the lead where it will remain accessible.

Consider the viewing angle from your seat. A display above the CPU is useful when you can see it easily through the panel, rather than having to move the case every time.

A different fan package

The digital model uses two 120mm fans with 28mm-thick frames, alongside six heat pipes. The fan package is part of this model’s specification; do not assume that every Peerless Assassin uses the same fans.

Keep both airflow directions consistent and leave room for the clips. Check motherboard cable access before locking the whole assembly into place.

Height and RAM clearance work together

The specified height is 162mm. Raising a fan to clear tall RAM can increase the installed height, so check the side-panel clearance with the fans in their final position.

Set the PWM curve independently from the display software. The screen reports information; the fan connections still need to be configured correctly through the motherboard.

Before the first startup

  • Confirm socket mounting parts and RAM clearance.
  • Leave space above the 162mm assembly.
  • Connect the internal USB display lead and both PWM fans.
  • Install the software and verify the screen and fan readings.

Choose this cooler when you have room for a dual tower and want its upper surface to serve as a visible system-status panel.
