Elden Ring — follow your own route through the Lands Between
Elden Ring gives you room to choose your next challenge. A road, a distant structure or a path away from a difficult enemy can lead to a different discovery. Your equipment and character choices shape how you deal with what you find.
Exploration is part of preparation
The open world makes leaving an encounter and returning later a valid option. Searching another area can help you understand your character better before taking on a demanding boss again.
Build around the way you fight
Weapons, magic and character development create different approaches to combat. Learning timing and recognising enemy patterns still matter; changing equipment does not remove the need to understand an encounter.
Solo first, with optional online encounters
The game has one local player. Optional online co-op and competitive modes require PlayStation Plus, with player limits varying by activity. It is not local split-screen co-op.
Base game or expansion bundle?
This edition contains Elden Ring itself. Shadow of the Erdtree is a separate purchase; choose the dedicated expansion bundle if you want both together.
