Redragon M987 Reaping: a lighter starting point for every movement

The M987 Reaping’s appeal begins with what you lift. Its honeycomb shell keeps the mouse itself to approximately 55g, excluding the cable. Combined with a flexible lead and a simple button arrangement, that makes it a candidate for players who frequently reposition the mouse across a large pad.

Low weight is a feel to try

A lighter mouse can make repeated lifts feel easier, but grip and shape still matter. Check whether your fingertips reach the main buttons naturally and whether your thumb rests below the side controls without pressing them.

The flexible cable also needs room to move. Leave a loose curve in front of the mouse so the lead does not become taut at the far edge of the pad.

Find a useful sensitivity range

The PixArt PAW3327 optical sensor offers settings up to 12,400 DPI through software, with polling up to 1,000 Hz. Use those adjustments to find a consistent response across desktop work and games. The maximum DPI is an available setting, not a measure of how accurately you will aim.

For an unfamiliar mouse, change one setting at a time and give yourself a few sessions to adapt.

Keep the button layout simple

Six programmable buttons provide space for common commands without turning the side into a keypad. Map a couple of useful actions first, such as push-to-talk and a tool switch. RGB Chroma lighting can then be set independently to match the keyboard or remain visually restrained.

Because the shell has openings, clean it gently with the USB disconnected and keep liquids away from the desk area.
