The 24-inch Samsung Odyssey G30D keeps the screen compact while giving you more control over its position. Full HD resolution and up to 180 Hz make it a straightforward match for a gaming PC targeting high frame rates. This exact model uses a VA panel and a fully adjustable stand.

Full HD with up to 180 Hz

The 1920 × 1080 resolution is less demanding to render than QHD or 4K at the same graphics settings. That can help a suitable PC pursue higher frame rates, but the monitor cannot create frames the game does not deliver. Choose 180 Hz in the operating system and check that the active connection supports the selected mode.

VA contrast and sensible expectations

Samsung specifies a 3000:1 static contrast ratio and 250 cd/m² typical brightness. The VA panel and HDR10 signal support are useful features to understand separately: accepting HDR does not make this a high-brightness HDR reference display.

The advertised 1 ms is an MPRT rating, not total input lag. AMD FreeSync can help reduce tearing with compatible hardware; motion settings should be checked in the games you actually play.

A stand that earns its desk space

With 120 mm of height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot, the G30D can be set closer to a comfortable eye level. Portrait orientation can also be useful for documents or a secondary-screen role. The 100 × 100 mm VESA pattern gives an alternative if you prefer a suitable monitor arm.

Connect video and plan sound separately

HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 provide the video inputs. A headphone output is available; the monitor has no built-in speakers.
