Valkyrie Surge SL125 White: a straightforward tower for a coordinated build

Surge SL125 White carries a light colour scheme through the cooler’s frame and top cover. The illuminated front fan supplies the accent, making this a practical starting point for a white PC that uses conventional air cooling.

One fan to plan around

The B12 ARGB fan moves air through a fin stack connected by four heat pipes. With a single fan in this layout, access and wiring are easy to plan before the motherboard goes into the case.

Consider the intake and rear exhaust as part of the same route. A cooler cannot make full use of its airflow if the surrounding case traps the warm air.

Use the cooler height, not the box size

The cooler is 155mm tall. Check the case limit and nearby components before assembly, especially the position of RAM and the clips holding the fan. The top cover also needs space beneath the side panel.

Socket support and case fit are separate checks: matching the socket does not guarantee that the complete assembly fits your particular chassis.

Keep the controls simple

The fan has a 4-pin PWM connection and the lighting uses a separate 3-pin ARGB connection. Choose a fan curve that follows CPU temperature, then set the colour to complement the rest of the case.

Clean the intake filters periodically. Dust accumulating in front of the cooler changes the airflow and can make an otherwise suitable fan curve work harder.

Before the first long session

  • Select the correct socket brackets and spacers.
  • Check 155mm clearance and cable routing.
  • Verify the fan spins freely and is reported by the motherboard.
  • Observe temperatures during your normal workload.
