Razer BlackShark V2 X White: a simple connection in a distinctive frame

The white BlackShark V2 X has the suspended earcup shape of the BlackShark family, with a fixed microphone and a direct 3.5mm connection. At 240g, it is a straightforward wired option for a coordinated white setup. Its analogue plug also makes platform compatibility easier to check before you buy.

Start with the headset socket

The 1.3m cable ends in an analogue 3.5mm connection. Use a compatible combined audio and microphone socket on a computer, controller or other device. Computers with separate headphone and microphone inputs need the appropriate splitter arrangement.

There is no wireless pairing or battery routine. When moving between a console controller and a PC, check the microphone level again; the input settings belong to each device.

A fixed microphone with local controls

The HyperClear cardioid microphone focuses pickup toward the mouth. Position it slightly to the side and make a voice test before entering a team channel. Its directional pickup helps manage background sound, while your room and microphone placement still matter.

Volume and mute controls are on the headset. Familiarise yourself with them before play so a quick adjustment does not require looking away from the screen.

TriForce drivers and a passive seal

The 50mm TriForce drivers use a design intended to address bass, midrange and treble separately. The cushions and closed cups also create a passive seal around the ears. This is physical isolation, rather than powered active noise cancellation.

Optional 7.1 Surround Sound uses compatible Windows software and activation. On other platforms, normal analogue listening remains the relevant connection. Adjust the headband evenly and compare stereo with any spatial effect you choose to use.
